Did anyone besides the author succeed in implementing 4-Hour Work Week?
I know many people whose success took off after implementing ideas from Tim Ferriss’s 4HWW. I am proud to be one of those who are working on the principles. Basically, Tim Ferriss helped me upgrade from a stressful, overworked life in freelance to a business operation with myself at the forefront. It also helped solidify a lot of ideas I was starting to pontificate about work life balance, which was totally vindicating. Apart from that, the book itself contains the success stories of lots of people as case studies. Let’s discuss more on 4HWW to answer your question in a better way.
4HWW is one of the oldest and biggest books on making more money by spending less time, but it does not teach any get-rich-quick scheme or something like that. The book is regarded well a lot by online entrepreneurs who started their entrepreneurial journey after taking inspiration from that book to teach more specific, niche ideas.
Instead of teaching how to make money alone, it teaches the principles through which one can make more money, more efficiently. Really, the concept is so universally needed that I can’t see any ordinary person who wouldn’t benefit from what it has to say. With a lot of inspirational stories to help illustrate key points, it can help anyone earn more in whatever way they want, whether that’s through entrepreneur pursuits or just improving their work situation as an employee.
4HWW also suggests how one can live a better life with the same income. I really appreciate this kind of knowledge, compared to many making-money-online (MMO) gurus out there who try to dazzle naive people with numbers like millionaire and billionaire, or vapid images of luxury cars and resorts (things they likely do not own, by the way, only rented for their marketing). Ferriss doesn’t flaunt his wealth, he presents a legit, storied lifestyle that I really respect. He travels, he tries new things, and he doesn’t worry about money, because he always has enough. You don’t see that word a lot on the MMO word, do we? Enough. Along the way, the book covers four critical aspects of working far less for more money, through an acronym called DEAL. It’s through this acronym that the book’s chapters are segmented into key parts, each very distinct and valuable.
If you have read that book, you must be aware of the unbelievable story of a white Thai kickboxer, beautifully presented in the book. There are many such stories. In general, I value the book equally for the usefulness of the knowledge on offer and for its writing, its presentation, and creative flair.
However, I would not shirk sharing some cons of 4HWW like, some of the linked websites in the digital version are dead now. It gets a bit technical too, in the middle, and I think it will be a little harder to keep up with if you’re on the employee side and not the entrepreneur side.
Anyway, I have posted my review of 4HWW, where you can find some more interesting points from that book like DEAL, as well as its pros and cons. If you are interested in reading those from my perspective, you can visit this link.
In conclusion, it won’t be wrong to say that 4HWW is one of the best books so far on making more money as instead of suggesting an extremely specific method that won’t stay relevant, or vague woo law of attraction nonsense; it suggests the principles that anyone can follow and climb higher in life. Many people besides Tim Ferriss are gaining success from his teachings, I can guarantee it. Everyone should read that book at least once, even if they’re successful entrepreneurs or high-paid employees already.

I would appreciate it if you would share your POV on that, as I’m not certain from the question if you’ve read the book yourself or are seeking opinions to decide if you should read it. I would be pleased to be a part of more discussions on 4HWW.
Good Luck!
Thanks,
