For affiliate marketing, what are the best traffic sources?

It’s going to depend on the affiliate products and their market. In fact, it really changes depending on the affiliate website and brand, as well. The best traffic source for one affiliate marketer won’t necessarily be the best for another. Still, there are many reliable traffic sources worth testing out. Let’s discuss those.

Here are five traffic sources for affiliate marketing:

#1 Organic results of search engines:

I use to avoid SEO because I found it boring, but now I know, this definitely belongs at #1. If your affiliate products show up in the search engine results for relevant keyword terms, all your concerns about traffic become much lighter. Well, it’s not that easy. Everyone wants to have his/her website listed in the first two-three pages of search engine results, ideally the #1 spot. For that, you need to regularly perform SEO measures for the website of your affiliate marketing products, and in an intelligent way that lets you relax for a six months or so, before any other site has a chance to beat your spot. Good SEO shouldn’t require constant, tireless effort. I assume you have an active affiliate marketing website as it is a prerequisite for success. No website, no chance. If you do, then consider getting into SEO. SEO measures include research of keywords while writing content, image optimization, and much more. It’s a broad topic that requires thorough research. If you want, I can help you with that.

#2 Social media websites like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. Too much to say on each of these, so just know that they work.

#3 Niche-specific forums and groups. Online communities like Quora, Reddit, etc. can be of great help, but make sure to follow the rules.

#4 Maintain an active blog, wherein you can share honest reviews of your products, stories about your experience with the products, etc. Blogs are a rich source of online traffic, provided you write engaging, high-quality, valuable, and shareable content regularly and you put some effort into networking with other blogs. You don’t have to just talk about the things that you sell, either. Many successful affiliates get traffic by writing critical reviews of things that are not good enough for them to endorse as an affiliate, in their opinion.

#5 Online or social paid ads, provided your budget allows for that, are a reliable and proven source of online traffic.

This is just a start. If I knew more about the products you are dealing with, I could be more specific about how to approach these tactics. Feel free to share more details in the comments section if you’d like me to do that.

Since you need free traffic for affiliate marketing, I would recommend you invest a small amount of money to implement a specialized method that stays free to use forever afterward. I implement One Minute Traffic Machines (OMTM) for that. OMTM can help you drive lots of scalable traffic to your affiliate marketing products, with just a few minutes of work per day. The rest of your time can be utilized for other activities to build your brand, or you can just eat potato chips and watch Netflix, either way, you’ll succeed eventually. When it comes to getting traffic, all that really matters is a consistent effort in one singular direction. More effort means less time before you see positive results, but that doesn’t mean you have to work yourself to death and get burned out. Pick something really good, like OMTM, and work at it a little per day. That’s my recommendation.

You can also explore the Knowledge Base section on my website for more useful tips for getting affiliate sales.

To sum up, affiliate markets need high quality, purchase-oriented, and serious traffic, for which ordinary played-out traffic methods and strategies do not work well. Nothing is truly free, but some things are cheaper and more effective for their price than others in the online marketing world. You can get OMTM at the price of a coffee mug, and the rewards for sticking with the strategy are massively valuable. Combine that with one or two of the things on the list above, work at it a little every day, and hit me up if you’re not getting traffic in 3 months.

Please feel free to reply if you have any questions.

Good Luck!

Thanks,

Cleo
