How to get traffic to my affiliate link for driving more sales?
Once you’re got your own website, affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to earn money online. But you’re going to need quality traffic, and a decent amount of it. In reality, becoming an affiliate is easy, but to do it well requires consistent effort and time. Let’s get into why!
As a successful affiliate marketer for a long time, I have many tips to share with you. Since more on that may make this answer lengthy, I will assume you are aware of the basics of affiliate marketing, web traffic, etc. Anyways, here are 5 ways to get traffic to your affiliate link to make better sales:
1. Offer high-value content:
This could be broken down into a lot of smaller points. The content on the website which displays your affiliate links should be valuable. It should answer a pressing question, resolve a concern, entertain people, inspire them, something like that. Just being informative is not going to cut it. Also, the actual content needs to be well researched and match the audience. Before writing anything to promote an affiliate product you should do thorough research on what it’s like what kind of audience it serves, what problems it solves for that audience, and so on. It should involve real-life examples as much as possible, to better personalize the content. I could go on.
2) Writing Guest Posts:
In this, you write guest posts for other blogs, writing something that their audience would like. In return, you may get high-quality backlinks to your website.
3) Using Social Media:
The usage of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc. is undoubtedly one of the most common and effective ways. Since it’s common, there’s more competition, and what matters most is creating engaging posts with good quality images, graphics, videos, trending hashtags, etc. Studying your target audience may help you focus better.
4) Activities in Online Communities:
If the traffic does not come to you, then go where it is. Be active on discussion forums or communities such as Quora. Share valuable information. As a result, people will find you.
5) Email Marketing:
Sending promotional emails, offers, and newsletters through email has always worked. Although a conventional way of marketing, it shouldn’t be ignored.
Implementation of the above ways in the right manner will help you get more traffic to your affiliate links. The point here worth mentioning is having more traffic is no guarantee of more sales. The quality of that traffic also matters a lot. For example, having 100 visitors for your affiliate links does not at all mean you would get 100 sales, or even 10. You can’t even assume it’ll get you one sale without prior experience with that traffic source indicating as such.
On the other hand, if you get 20 visitors, but a quarter of them purchase through the affiliate link, that ratio is infinitely better than 100 without sales. That’s where most of the newbie affiliates become confused. Ordinary ways of building web traffic, sooner or later, may get you more visitors, but to ensure that traffic is of high quality, one should implement specific methods, OMFT being one of the best.
OMFT stands for One Minute Free Traffic, and it’s the method that has worked the best for me, as far as building free quality traffic with minimal time and effort.
Please feel free to reply to me if you need more information on any of the points discussed in this answer.
Good Luck!
