I want to quit my job. Can I work while traveling? What should I do?
Well, there are many jobs where you can work while traveling. The stereotypical 9 to 5 office job is slowly vanishing, with digital means of working getting stronger and more prevalent. According to your question, it seems you are fond of traveling. What if you get paid to travel?
Coming straight to the point, you may become a travel blogger by writing blogs in the travel niche. All you need is mid-level creative writing skills and a sense of photography. If you don’t have them right now, don’t worry. Just get started somewhere, and develop over time.
A blog is a post you write online. You can do it for someone, say a travel company, and get paid or you may write your own. You may have your own blogging website too. Once people start liking your content, then you would get more and more popularity. After that, your blog content will gain value and you may get offers to travel somewhere and write about it for payment, plus covered expenses sometimes.
Even if you don’t get famous too early or do not get visitors on your website at first, there are solutions to that as well. You may check my profile for that or leave me a reply for more information.
Regarding quitting the job, my point of view is slightly different. I would say, don’t quit until you get a suitable option. However, it would be completely your decision, as you know better about your circumstances.
I would suggest you quit after working on three pillars of financial independence, my recent post I’m Ready to Quit My Job YESTERDAY, How Do I Do It? covers that very well. Those are :
To Be
1) Skilled
2) Smart
3) Strong
I would suggest you to read that post. I am hopeful that would give you goosebumps, and a driveto start soon.
To conclude by fuelling your wanderlust, here’s an anonymous quote “Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.”
